Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Aurora, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Aurora is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Aurora follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. It's kind of insane how good Honu Poke is. I've been getting take-out from them for years and every order is fresh, delicious, and extremely filling. You get downright spoiled by their menu if you go to another poke place - just the fact that I can build my own bowl in three different sizes is incredible. But there's so many options for proteins, mix-ins, toppings, and sauces, that once you get your poke from here, you really can't go anywhere else. Underrated bonus of all those options is they also have an excellent menu for when you're pregnant and can't eat raw fish. Having been pregnant and craving poke, the options for shrimp, crab sticks, chicken, and tofu, is awesome.

Very impressed with the quality and portion size for $15! This counts as two meals for me! Definitely one of the best poke bowls Iβve had so far. I got the regular BYOB with salmon and ahi tuna. 10/10 will definitely be back for more :) *pen for scale in pics

Saturday was a first time for my husband & I. Walking in I noticed it had a setup kind of like at subway with everything laid out at a bar for you to see & choose from. There was one young man working there named Jose that was so amazing with explaining everything to us from start to finish. Honestly Jose did such a great job on making our 1st experience something to not forget. We were told about how they are SMALL FAMILY OWNED πͺπ½ & how hard they work on their house made sauces (which are delicious!) We both ended up building our own bowls. Next time Iβm 100% choosing one of the options they offer now that I know this place is BOMB!! The 2 proteins I ended up picking were salmon & spicy tuna. Lastly letβs talk β¦MOCHI π‘ This place has SO MANY options on flavors itβs crazy & they also do flavors of the month so ask about that while youβre there. Iβm obsessed with the Ube, Coconut & Sweet Cream flavors OouuWeee I will be back for more !! Get you some!! Donβt walk RUN!! πββοΈπ¨ (as for the owner, give that boy a raise!! ππ€ Excellent work ethics, friendly & welcoming service while also providing us with amazing tasting food! Super informative on the business while we dined in.) Thank yo
